Did you know that Dixie Roofing conducts field measurements for every roof we estimate? We will never request your insurance details, as this information is confidential between you and your insurance provider. You will receive a genuine price from us, which is consistently lower than what your insurance covers. We are happy to help you with your insurance if you require our assistance. However, the amount they reimburse you is a matter solely between you and your insurance company. That is private information.

Be smart, avoid someone selling you a roof for what the insurance pays and promises of warranty's that last longer than the paper will last it was printed on. This is a scam. If they don't look like they have ever roofed, simply refuse.

In Mississippi, it is illegal for a roofing contractor to pay, waive, or rebate any part of your insurance deductible. This practice is considered insurance fraud for both the contractor and the homeowner.

Prohibition on Deductible Offers: Under Mississippi Code § 75-24-307, roofing contractors are strictly prohibited from promising to pay or rebate an insured’s deductible as an inducement to enter into a contract.

Legal Consequences: Engaging in these "deductible waiving" schemes can result in severe penalties:

Felony Charges: Insurance fraud in Mississippi is often a felony offense, punishable by up to three years in prison and significant fines.

Claim Denial: Your insurance company may deny the entire claim or refuse to renew your policy if they discover the deductible was not paid by you.

Contractor Penalties: Violating these rules is considered an "unfair and deceptive act," which can lead to the loss of the contractor's professional license.
